Clash of Kings is an immersive online game wherein you fight to take
control over towns, cities, and resources. You will be up against
thousands of other players from around the world. Basically, you will be
performing two main tasks in the game in order to amass wealth and
build your own empire. One, you will be waging wars against other clans
in an attempt to take over their kingdoms. Two, you will be forming
alliances with other clans to strengthen your army as well as help each
other out during battles and sieges. Needless to say, if you are good in
waging wars and forming alliances, then you will go far into the game.
However, this is easier said than done. That’s why we have compiled the
following tips and tricks to help you get better at the game. Improve
your chances of winning battles by applying these tips.
1) Buildings
There are over a dozen buildings that you can build in Clash of
Kings, the most important of which is your castle. If you are just
starting out in the game, you should focus your attention on upgrading
your castle. You are very vulnerable to attacks at this stage so spend a
significant amount of your resources in strengthening your defenses. In
the event that your defense falls and your castle is set on fire, the
fastest way to rebuild and restore is by using the teleport function.
Another very important building is your farm which is your main source
of food and income. Every time you increase the number of your troops,
you need to upgrade your farm so that it can produce food enough for
your troops. What you should always remember when creating new buildings
is that there should be a balance between the resources that they
receive. You can’t put too much resources in one building while ignoring
the others because if you do, you will be susceptible to attacks.
2) Troops
Before you start using troops to attack other kingdoms, you should
learn first of the four types of soldiers you have and their particular
skills. When it comes to defending your castle from attacks, it’s best
that you use your infantry soldiers and swordsmen. They function better
when they are defending in a stationary location. It would be a bad idea
to use them when attacking other kingdoms because they are too slow and
they die easily. Speaking of attacking other kingdoms, you should make
use of your archers. Archers can completely destroy a castle without
losing a single life because they can attack at a safe distance. This is
especially true if the castle you are attacking has a very weak wall
and poor defense. You can also use Chariot Plant units when attacking
castles. These units are very effective in causing massive damage even
at a long range. Before you attack any castle, make sure that your
troops have the upper hand compared to the enemies. If you attack an
army that’s much stronger than you, you might find your army destroyed
and with nothing left to defend your exposed castle.
3) Equipment
Without upgraded equipment, your troops will be easy to rout and
kill. This is why you should gather forge materials and blacksmith
material whenever you can. Iron Mines and Mithril Mines are usually rich
with materials like jade, garnet, crystal, bronze, cobalt and amber.
Always keep an eye on these materials. Another easy way to accumulate
forge and blacksmith materials is to go around hunting and killing
monsters. For every monster you kill, you are going to receive a
corresponding ore depending on the level of the monster you have slain.
The more monsters you kill, the more materials you have to upgrade and
improve the efficiency of your soldiers.
4) Lord
As the Lord of the castle, it’s your responsibility to lead your
troops and constituents in fighting battles and building empires,
respectively. In order to level up quickly, you need to be as active as
possible. You can achieve this by building buildings, going on quests,
using consumable items, upgrading buildings, exploring abandoned
castles, and killing monsters. All of these will add up to prop up your
experience level which will in turn make you eligible to bonuses like
weapons, helmets, boots, rings, and chest plates. The general rule when
performing your duties as a Lord is that you should never chew on what
you can’t swallow. For example, don’t attack a monster if you have below
5 stamina points. You will be wasting your resources away if you
constantly go against armies and monsters that are way stronger than
you.
5) Alliance
Creating and joining alliances is quite easy but you need to be
careful and choose your friends wisely. First of all, you should only
join alliances wherein everyone speaks the same language as you. Imagine
joining an alliance wherein people speak Russian or French and you
can’t understand them. It would be disastrous for you and the alliance
because there won’t be communication at all. As we mentioned earlier,
players of the game come from all corners of the globe. That said,
whether you are creating an alliance or joining one, make sure that
everyone understands each other. And don’t join an alliance just so you
can take advantage of the Super Mine. You have to be fair and play as a
team member. Remember that if the alliance falls, you will also incur
serious damage to your castle and kingdom.
6) Battle Strategies
There are several ways on how to improve your chances of dominating
Clash of Kings. First of all, you need at least five farm accounts. Some
of the best players in the game have more than 10 farm accounts. In
short, the more accounts you have, the better. After creating these
multiple accounts, you need to join an alliance that has already proven
to be strong both in waging wars and defending member kingdoms. By
joining a strong alliance, you will be protected against attacks,
looting, and sieges. This means you will have more time to gather
resources, upgrade your buildings, train your troops, and strengthen
your walls. And of course, as long as you have the budget for it, try
availing of the premium items that the game sells. You can use these
extra items to raid other kingdoms and take control of more wealth and
resources.
